GLOW IN THE DARK MINI. The Mari Lwyd is a unique and ancient Welsh folk custom performed during the Christmas season. The Mari Lwyd is a hobby horse figure (constructed from a horses skull) which is mounted on a pole. The pole is then draped with a white sheet or shroud hiding the person carrying it. The skull is decorated with ribbons and bells. They approach a house and begin singing. The songs ask for entry, food and drink while praising the house and its occupants.
